DropAcross v1.1.6

Send files to Macs & phones

Drag files and photos between devices on the same Wi‑Fi — Mac ↔ iPhone/iPad ↔ Android ↔ Linux. Devices are discovered automatically, transfers go directly over your LAN (never the internet) with TLS 1.3, and the receiver must accept first. No account, no server. · The desktop apps (Mac, Windows, Linux) are free.

What it does

Send files across every platform

Mac ↔ iPhone/iPad ↔ Android ↔ Linux — files, photos and folders, many at once

Finds devices by itself

Open the app on the same Wi‑Fi/LAN and the other device shows up instantly (Bonjour/mDNS). No IP, no pairing

Direct, never via the internet

Files go device‑to‑device on your own network. No cloud, no server, no sign‑up

TLS 1.3 on every transfer

Each device has its own key; sender and receiver verify each other before sending. Names can't be spoofed and you can compare key fingerprints

Receiver must accept first

A new sender triggers a prompt: Accept / Always / Decline — nobody can push files onto your device

My devices

Keep only the devices you use. Online ones are ready to send, offline ones are greyed out. Add or remove any time

Drag & drop on Mac

A small floating panel in the menu bar — drop files on a device name. Received files land in ~/Downloads/DropAcross

13 languages

Thai, English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (Simplified/Traditional), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Vietnamese, Indonesian
